About Mistretta's
In the heart of any Italian home exists the love of great food. Surrounded by that food is the family, the traditions, and the values that have been ingrained in us across generations. Food is not something that we, as Italians, "do"...it is the food, essentially, that defines who we are. At Mistretta's Italian catering, we know that great food is best enjoyed with those that we love. It is for this reason that we put not only our love and hard work into every catered meal that we prepare, but also generations of family recipes and traditions. At Mistretta's we want you to feel like you are a part of our family. My great-grandmother Rosaria Mistretta (formerly Lena) taught me that without the ability to share in the richness of our families, food merely exists as a need. It was always her goal, whether serving one or the entire family, to provide meals that let us know how much we were loved. My grandfather, John Perno, always told me that we can lose the language, but we can never lose the food. It was his influence as well that taught me the value of providing excellent meals even when we didn't have much. I've learned from both sides of my family the value of a simmering sauce, the importance of fresh pasta, and the power of sharing a meal.
It is our goal at Mistretta's to provide that love, those values, and those traditions to you.
